The estimates are sourced from Turn 14, and while they generally work well, they may occasionally be slightly higher or lower than the actual cost. Most users find this option satisfactory, as long as they are comfortable with the estimates not being exact.
The embedded estimated shipping takes the product price, for example $10 and adds whatever Turn 14 thinks it will cost to ship it let’s say $5 and builds it into the product price so you and your customer see a $15 product and you can then offer free shipping.
