In 1966 Jim Bell founded JB’s Automotive as a small speed shop in Edmonton, Alberta. As the company continued to grow and develop in 1977, out of necessity to service increasing demand for business-to-business product support, Jim Bell started Performance North, the wholesale division of JBs Automotive. Over the years Jim kept the company growing adding locations and growing his customer bases. Then in the early 1990’s opportunity knocked, and Jim acquired the wholesale division of Cal Van, called DIX Performance and at that point Jim rebranded the wholesale division to be known as DIX Performance North.
